Dr. John Grieveson graduated from Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico in 1990 and did his residency in Family Medicine at the Reading Hospital in Pennsylvania. He moved to Lowell, Massachusetts in 1996, working for the now gone Saints Medical Center on Merrimack Street. In 2009, he started his own practice and has continued to serve children and adults of all ages.
Based on the family medicine model of holistic approach, he emphasizes first on prevention and good maintenance of chronic illnesses by making patient care a team approach between the patient, their family, and the doctor to obtain best results. He firmly believes that a patient should make their own medical decisions after obtaining adequate counseling in terms of their choices for care. He also encourages them to change their lifestyle for their own benefit in the long-run.
As a member of both Lowell General and Saints Medical Center for 20 years, he knows the medical environment of this city well enough to provide you with the best medical care in terms of facilities and/or specialists as needed.
Being fluent in both English and Spanish, he is capable of approaching patients in their native language, making communication as good as possible. The staff at Lowell Family Medical Care PC is also capable of speaking Cambodian, English, and Spanish, making this an ideal practice for the All-American Community of Lowell.
He is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and Academy of Family Physicians, and he is constantly obtaining continuing medical education to provide his patients state-of-the-art evidence-based medical care.
Locally owned and operated since 2009, Lowell Family Medical Care PC is a full-service medical care facility for the entire family, from newborns to the elderly. Our physician and staff are all highly trained and bilingual to serve English and Spanish-speaking patients.
